Greetings Earthlings is the debut album of Lunar Sea Boatman. Recording began in 1993 at the Bank Studio in Sydney Australia and it was released by Hell Records in 1996. Featuring 12 songs either written or co-written by Ian Purdie, the album showcases his guitar style and vocals. It also features the vocals of Caron Clay on the haunting “All I Ever” as well as backing vocals from Parissa Bouas, Tony Allayialis, Darren Gower and Don Nicholas scattered tastefully throughout some of the rest of it. |
All of the drum tracks were hammered in by Pierre Le Rat, while bass guitar was passed around between Paul Fisher, Lyn Ashby and engineer Brian Subkey. |

Kenny Powell delivered the piano tracks for “Butterfly” and “Goodbye”, while the sax on “Facing the Rain” arrived courtesy of Denis Mason. Percussion was lovingly entrusted into the capable hands of Luke Mason and we all had a hell of a lot of fun. |
