Ian Purdie is the DJ impersonator. He actually goes into a radio studio twice every week and pretends to be a DJ. Now to some of you this may not seem to be so serious. It’s nothing like being a paedophile or a murderer or even a naked stamp collector.
It really is a meaningless claim.

Are there some actual DJ’s out there who are going to get pissed off because there’s an impersonator lurking in their ranks? Are they going to assert that some divine right has been breached?

No, probably not.
